Roland Sliced Bamboo Shoots are cut from a tropical, oriental bamboo plant. They have an ivory to light yellow color, a unique flavor and a crisp texture. Roland Sliced Bamboo Shoots contain no added salt and are low in calories. Sliced Bamboo Shoots should be rinsed prior to use. Cook whole or in chunks for at least five minutes or until the shoots no longer taste bitter. Bamboo Shoots are added to dishes which will be stir-fried, simmered or steamed.
